Nineties dance music icon, 56, looks like she hasn't aged a day

Dance superstar Ultra Naté seems to not have aged a day, 27 years after releasing her number one hit single Free.

The American singer, 56, rose to stardom in the late 1980s but her fame peaked a decade later with the banger being released in 1997.

The DJ - whose real name is Ultra Naté Wyche - looked ageless in a selection of photos shared on her Instagram page over the weekend.

She was glammed up in a black outfit covered in sparkling rhinestone embellishments, featuring a black jacket and trousers teamed with chunky trainers.

Ultra was in Naples and shared snaps posing with fans as she was also joined by some of her pals including DJ Kenny Carpenter.

She sported blonde straight locks and a very glamorous full-face make up while cherishing her time in the southern Italy city.

Back in the day, the music icon achieved global success with hits as If You Could Read My Mind and Automatic, and her 1998 album Situation: Critical was critically acclaimed.

All of her singles have reached the Top 10 of the US Hot Dance Club Play chart with virtual streaming platforms.

More of her successful previous albums include Blue Notes in the Basement (1991) and One Woman's Insanity (1993).

Meanwhile the singer has never abandoned her passion for music, and just in September of last year released she released ULTRA - with also a deluxe version - which included 17 songs.

The electronic-dance album reached the Top 10 in US and Australia - with vocals 'recorded, edited, and mixed' at JJCC Studios in UK between 2022 and 2023, she told in an Instagram post.

The Maryland-born star has been further channelling her vein for electronic beats as she now regularly performs DJ sets around the world, with one rooftop party upcoming this very Sunday at the Lord Baltimore Hotel Skybar.

Ultra's career was marked by a feud with her first record label Warner Bros. Records, but just when she reached her peak fame in 1997 - she decided to go independent and ultimately signed with Strictly Rhythm Records.
